Benjamin Reitzes

Benjamin has been with the Bank of Montreal nearly two decades. He is re-sponsible for the Canadian macro-economic forecast, and plays a key role in forecasting interest rates and currencies. From his seat on the trading desk, Benjamin provides dedicated research support to the Canadian Fixed Income business. Over the past eight years, he has built the market profile of the Canadian Rates Strategy effort, which has gained significant traction globally. The CRV Weekly and Reitzes Stuff have become BMO’s flagship Canadian Strategy publications, providing clients with market commentary and actionable trade ideas. In addition, he contributes to the Economics Department’s global economic forecasts and its various publications; such as AM Notes, Focus and econoFacts. Benjamin is a regular commentator on economic and financial trends to the media.


Benjamin holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Toronto and a Masters degree in Economics from Carleton University.
